M&M Quilters- May 2013

These pictures are from the Wednesday Group. Patty and Julie H from Mesa are making progress on their Blocks.

Patty is working on the A & C with Pinwheel Frames Block of the Month
She's half way done with her 12" blocks.

Julie H is making "The Romance Continues" Block of Month with her favorite color scheme.

Julie H also left another quilt to be quilted.  Isn't it a pretty one??
It was fun to choose a backing and quilt pattern and thread for this one.
There were so many shades of the goldish brown/tan in the Thread boxes.

Design Wall Monday March 25, 2013

Not much on the Design Wall but this pretty quilt came off the LongArm.
Victoria used our "Bouquet of Friendship" pattern and chose Pastel fabrics and the Kona White to make this quilt for the lady who found her lying on the floor in her apartment and got help and an Ambulance to get her to the hospital in time, thus saving her life. Don't you think it is a great gift!

The quilting on it shows up nicely.  It is the feather Panto that is a favorite.  It gives nice texture to the quilts.

June and Mary Ellen are keeping their Rotary cutters and fabrics flying at Thread and Bolts on Tuesdays and Fridays.  Here is the Planet D9P that Mary Ellen is almost finished with. She has another one started already.
It's fun to see them making the Disappearing 9-patch quilts in the same colors.  They both chose the PURPLE fabrics from the Jackie Robinson "Roses" fabric line. They don't Blog so I'll share them on here soon.  Mary C isn't the only one who loves the Purple!

On and OFF the Longarm...

I've not shown all of the Customer Quilts that have come off the APQS Long Arm at Thread and Bolts for a while.  There have been a few, even a couple I didn't get to see and photograph.

First is Julie H of Mesa's Music Quit. Lynn quilted a Treble clef and music note Panto all over it.
It was the perfect Quilting for this quilt. Lynn quilted this panto on another quilt that went to Charity. I think it is in the Slideshow on the sidebar.

This one is from Mary Ellen-

She made a Card trick in gray and blues.  Very manly.. Lynn quilted the Square Doodles Panto on it.
Mary Ellen is working on our favorite- this is her 2nd D9P. Made from fabrics with the planets on it.

Mary Ellen and her friend both came for one on two classes to make a D9P last year with the Dragonfly fabric. Mary Ellen's was quilted by Lynn and is HERE.

Here's a sneak peek at Becci L's Farmer's wife quilt.  This is being quilted with a feather Panto that has a paisley design in it. Becci L is lucky to have her Farmer's Wife quilted by Lynn.  She is one of the three who have a completed top from the FW Group.
Soon to be quilted is the "U-topia" Quilt that Lynn has been working on most of the last two weeks. The blocks are all made and the borders are on. We hope to reveal it soon.  It may not be until it is hanging at Trends in Portland though.  We wouldn't want to spoil the surprise for Mr Kona Bay and Marti Michell.  Right???

Some More Satisfied Customers

Lynn has been so busy quilting for others her own quilts aren't getting finished.  The Design Wall's are full, but it is the same ol' stuff, just waiting for a SEW day for just her to finish them.
This Dragonfly D9P was made a while ago and just got finished and quilted for a Customer- new to quilting. Lynn taught the one on two class just for them to make the D9P's with this fabric. See the two pictures of the Quilting Close-up.

This Butterfly Quilt has been around a while.  It was made and partially hand quilted before coming to be finished. Lynn found the perfect Quilting pattern to compliment the quilt.

The flowers are echoed in the center of  the four Butterflies in the main part of the Quilt.
I think it is a pattern from the "Young at Heart" collection.  A new quilting pattern recently acquired at Thread and Bolts. BEAUTIFUL!
This is a Scrappy Log Cabin made for a Customer's Daughter 3 years ago. She requested it to be finished in time for when she comes home for Thanksgiving.  Mission accomplished!

 Close-up of Quilting.

A simple quilt for a Grandson.  Quilted with the "Boys Toys" Pattern by Anne Bright.

A newly referred Customer brought this Bridal Bouquet Quilt to be finished.  a Pretty black print by Marti Michell adds a nice touch to the quilt. a Pink stripe Binding cut on the bias completed it. The Customer made this one a long time ago, cutting the fabrics out with paper templates.
She asked for Spiderwebs to be quilted on it. A New Spiderweb Panto was purchased. The new name for this quilt  is "Always a Bridesmaid, Never a Bride". The Customer cried when she saw it...
Don't you Love how pretty the Spiderweb quilting shows in the alternate blocks??
This one is Lambs frolicking in a Basic 4-patch with alternate solid Blocks. This one was for a friend of Lynn's Daughter, Tammi.  She goes out to help her Mom load some of the big quilts and slips one in between for her friends..  There are just a few more waiting to be quilted.
