Christmas Quilt show

It's really not a hard choice of which Christmas Quilt to enter in the Christmas Quilt Show at SEW CAL GAL's Blog.In the newly re-modeled Thread and Bolts Quilt shop it is hanging waiting for December to come. It is here now and TONIGHT this quilt will FINALLY be put on the King sized Bed and used all of the Christmas Season. This quilt is also called Lynn's Recovery Quilt. It was made in 9 months time after rotator cuff surgery. Mary C- from the Quiltingrandma blog showed me the Sylvia's Bridal Sampler Book and I had to order it and start this quilt. I chose Nancy Halvorsen's Christmas Line of fabric and out of necessity had to be creative in using several different backgrounds when I saw that my chosen background was not available anymore, it was a Northcott fabric that I only had about a yard and a half of. Mary made her Pastel SBS along with me. We joined the SBS off-line Yahoo group and checked off all the monthly challenges along with our own challenges. Mary always chose the easy blocks, I would challenge her to make the Paper pieced or harder blocks. We even went to Tri-Cities to take an applique class for a couple of them. E-4 Indiana Rose was the Nightmare block that had to be made at least 4 times... It has been shown at a few quilt shows and on the Thread and Bolts Blog before. It was the Peoples Choice Winner at Fall Trends in 2010 at EE. Schencks in Portland. There are pictures of my excitement at winning HERE.
